You’re invited to the Bon Odori Festival at the Kelowna Buddhist Temple!
We’ll have a fun yo-yo fishing game before the dance begins, and everyone is welcome—feel free to wear yukata or jinbei to join in the festive spirit!
All activities are free, but donations to the temple are warmly appreciated.
Location: Kelowna Buddhist Temple 1089 Borden Ave, Kelowna
Date: Sunday, July 13
- Potluck Dinner starts around 5:00 PM
- Yo-Yo Fishing from around 6:30 PM until the dance begins
- Bon Odori Dance starts around 7:00 PM
If you’d like to join the potluck dinner, please let the temple know what dish you’ll bring by Wednesday, July 9. (See the event poster for contact info)
There will also be a Bon Odori practice session on Wednesday, July 9 at 7:00 PM.
Learning a few moves in advance will make the event even more enjoyable—highly recommended!
