Celebrate the grand finale of Asian Heritage Month with a fun-filled community showcase! Admission is free—come enjoy the festival with us!
We at KJLS (Kelowna Japanese Language Society) will be participating with a food booth, stage performances, a calligraphy exhibit, an origami booth, and handmade accessory sales.
At our food booth, with the generous support of Soy Asian Fusion Restaurant, we’ll be serving up chicken curry, takoyaki, strawberry candy, and Ramune soda. Soy’s curry is truly delicious—don’t miss it!
On stage, children from the Japanese Language School, Singing & Storytime Group, Kodomokai, and Genki Kids will perform songs they’ve been practicing for months. Around 6:40pm, our children’s Awa Odori group Suiryu-ren will take the stage with a traditional dance. Come cheer on these adorable and hardworking kids!
You’ll also be able to enjoy a calligraphy class exhibit and try your hand at origami.
In the handmade accessories section, we’ll be selling original origami earrings created by Tomo Jewellery along with parents and supporters from our school community. These pieces are made with love and care—perfect as gifts or keepsakes.
Bring your family and friends—we look forward to seeing you there!
